The New Year By Anon. I am the little New Year, ho, ho ! Here I come tripping it over the snow. Shaking my bells with a merry din – So open your doors and let me in! Presents I bring for each and all – Big folks, little folks, short and tall; Each one from me a treasure may win – So open your doors and let me in! Some shall have silver and some shall have gold, Some shall have new clothes and some shall have old; Some shall have brass and some shall have tin – So open your doors and let me in! Some shall have water and some shall have milk, Some shall have satin and some shall have silk! But each from me a present may win – So open your doors and let me in! You know I love this poem, there is something charm and wise about it. It’s something my Nanna would have echoed. In today’s world it can be easy to lose sight of the gifts we have no matter how small and insignificant they may seem in this large world. Tim is a gift just as much as gold! Happy 2022 friends! I don’t know what this year holds, gold silver or tin! But it’s here and I’m ready to enjoy every gift it will give.

Thanking you all for being a light in this space this year as we approach Christmas. I am truly thankful for everyone one of you who come to share in this online space with me.

The warm, loving, compassionate and genuine friendship which happens in this space has blew me away and I am so humbled and grateful to have met the most incredible insightful and caring people here.

As I sign off for a short Christmas holiday with my family I want to wish you all a wonderful time. I hope you all find peace and love whatever and however you spend the next week.

I will be back on December 31st with my January Waldorf Magic Guide (a little later than usual because of the Christmas Break) as well as some lovely free crafts and ready to enjoy a new year of sharing and caring!

Peace and love to you all!

✨ A little magic,

a gift of gold,

scents of kings of old.

A shining star 🌟 ,

a gilded crown 👑,

a golden sun ☀️.

A gift inspired by the east from whence three wise men did come ✨

When the most beautiful Sophie @goldnuss invited me to take part in a #slowhandmadeadvent I was so thrilled, and also brimming with ideas…I’ve seriously had so many mini projects on the go, but when I sat and thought about it, this one was the one which had my heart.

The initial idea came for the need for a table toy, something to make to entertain children at the dinner table and it evolved from there pretty much encapsulating the season (swipe to see) it could be a great little gift, or stocking filler or even tree decoration the world over.

⭐️ Inspired by Sophie’s cutwork stars it brings the magic of the Christmas story to the Christmas table

☀️ It can be hung as a Solstice sun on the seasonal table

🌲 Hung on the Christmas tree with drops of Frankincense and Myrrh Essential Oil it can bring the scents of old to the room encapsulating the three gifts given to Christ by the Three Wise Men.

👑At one point in its rotating cycle it looks like a crown, why not place this on top of your twelfth night cake or Galette de Rois on the Epiphany to end your Christmas Celebrations.

✨ Its brings magic and mystery for children capturing the spirit of the season.
