April showers bring May flowers

Updated: Oct 4

I was only messaging with the wonderful Hannah @naturnest the other day about rain, how dry it’s been and we longed for a good downpour. Nature will benefit tremendously from today. After such a dry April, the rain is so welcome.

.

The rain wasn’t enough for this one, she had to have the hose out as well. We all got soaked and had a good splash.

.

I have quite a few runner beans to plant out Friday, I have been following a Bio dynamic gardening app, so although I’ve been really wanting to get them in the ground I’m waiting for when it’s more favourable, the bed is prepared and ready. This time if the year is so exciting for gardening, you can see the promise of what’s to come appearing and you pour your love into it hoping it will come to fruition!

.

I must say with lockdown I am so grateful and fortunate to have a garden, to have nature the children can hear, see, smell and touch every day - when they want. I do really feel for those who don’t have that.

.

We are inside and drying of off now, this afternoon is going to consist of some planning for my daughters school work, and for our German themed day tomorrow, as we are not getting a holiday this year we have decided to visit a country every couple of weeks from our kitchen! Pretzel baking and some traditional German potato Salad is on the menu!

.

I hope everybody has a great evening. Love and blessings.
