Handcrafted Bee Game

DIY Honeybee game. šŸ

I wanted to make a little game for the little one for her to play and process the ideas and themes we are talking about this week (and all the time I suppose lol) I had a package with this honeycomb cardboard in and I thought it would be perfect!

The object of the game is to fill as many honeycomb with pollen and nectar (yellow wool felt balls as you can) you do this by rolling a seed with a bee on one side and a yellow dot on the other, the bee means the Queen releases a baby from the hive and it brings back pollen (place it in the hole from the jar) if the seed lands yellow dot face up we take the pollen which has now turned to honey and put it in the honey jar with the tweezers.

I will pop a video in stories and save to highlights for a closer look. I think I am going to make some flowers where the ā€˜pollen’ can sit once I get the correct size balls so the distinction is there.

You will need:

šŸ A piece of honeycomb cardboard

šŸ Wooden craft bees

šŸ Yellow paint

šŸ glue

šŸ Yellow wool felt balls

šŸ Velcro sticky dots

šŸ A large bee for the queen

šŸ A jar and tweezers
