Happy Imbolc, Candlemas 🕯, St Brigids Day ☘️
A quiet table..a simple nod to the celebration - leaving room for thoughts to grow, as the roots and shoots do so beneath the winter soil. A Brigids Cross made from grasses from the garden, there wasn’t too much so it’s not an overly extravagant one. I went with the little one on a walk today to look for some snowdrops and we still can’t see any, so I have instead brought a few of the bulbs from our pot in the garden inside to reflect the beautiful changes going on around us.
I made a candle in a cardboard tube this afternoon and we dipped a little one which is sat with the bulbs in the pot.
We have a white cloth for purity and birth and some crystals on the table amethyst for protection of the home, Carnelian for fertility and vitality (for the earth rather than me haha) Moonstone for transitions, new birth and regeneration and malachite for healing , work and transformation. The card I have is actually a greeting card which I saved the front of and cut to fit the wooden holder.
A simple table that’s going to sit with us for the next week as we begin our journey through the second month of this year.
I wish you all a lovely day whatever you celebrate and whatever you are up to.
Peace and love
