Flower arranging

Some afternoon purposeful work, flower arranging using flowers from the garden.

The little one loves putting flowers in a vase. Great for talking about growth, the garden, colour recognition, shape, size, quantity, texture and practising using scissors.

She always cuts them very short though lately, so rather than keep trying to instruct her to cut them longer and her lose her self esteem and confidence I just give her a smaller vase....an old jar! Works a treat and I can leave her to it!

May seasonal displays

May is my favourite month of the year, the blossom trees are at their finest I welcomed my daughter in May and my birthday is in May!

I just had to include blossom on the tree on the seasonal table this month and had these little flowers tucked away to use.

For now we have a lovely @ostheimerwoodentoys Ewe and Lamb along with mother hare and her homemade baby gracing the scene! Can you. also spot the Ambrosius forget me not fairy (from @myriadnaturaltoys ) below her flowers.

We have lots of friends to add over the coming weeks as well as some small details such as little fences and plants. Maybe some ducks on our little pond!

Really really enjoying this perpetual seasonal table, it’s truly a joy to add to and populate and the little one finds it magical ✨

Forget me not crown

Forget me not Crown.

Forget me nots are abundant in our garden this time of year and I love them! Their delicate charms and deeper meaning of true love, honesty, deep respect and friendship. Almost every country in the world has some story attributed to it. So I couldn’t think of a lovelier flower to make a crown for today for the little one swipe to see her little sweet face! So pleased!

Simple to make I twisted a few pipe cleaners to make a frame and then tied the forget me nots to it with small pieces of pipe cleaner
