Perpetual Seasonal Table

🌱 Perpetual seasonal table 🌱

So I don’t think our seasonal table is going to be quite the same again.... ❤️

This afternoon I finished a project I’ve had going on for a while and was determined to get done for this month, our new felted perpetual seasonal display.

Now I’ve wanted to make something which we can make things for and add to as the year goes on but it was missing something...then I was inspired by something I saw on the wonderful squares of @atelier_margriet_kraan. Margriet had posted a display she had done with Mother Earth and some root children using coconut shells as little hiding holes for them... and I realised how adaptable this could be for the base of a seasonal table. (Please go give the wonderful Margriet a follow as she is such an amazing artist)

The thing I love about this table is how we can hide animals and all manner of magical things as the seasons go on, we can conceal them, we can add decorations, flowers leaves etc to the branches to reflect the seasons Two of the coconut shells I have made to be removed, so little jars with poses of flowers can be concealed and seem as if they are growing from the felted world we create together. We will wet felt pieces of felt for leaves and wildflower meadows for snow as winter arrives to sit on top

I am so so pleased with it! It’s going to be a wonderful source of amazement and joy as the year goes on. I will carefully make and store little trinkets and decorations for it to be brought out year after year.

So here is April’s table, complete with our wax raindrops myself and the little one made today!
