Support local farms this Autumn

Halloween is upon us. So I wanted to come on here with a quick post for anyone grabbing those last minute pumpkins.
If you have a local pick your own farm, please go and purchase from there. They may be a tad more expensive than pumpkins from a local supermarket but that money is going direct to those farmers who work hard cultivating their land year round for a myriad of crops.
I passed a few pumpkins in supermarkets over the weeks …£2 for a giant pumpkin. If a supermarket can sell for £2 we have to wonder what they are paying the farmer for them.
Apart from that, the fun of wondering around a field finding a hidden gem of a pumpkin , seeing where they have grown is priceless!
