November Seasonal Table

Hello November 🍁 🍂 🌬 🌙

We have enjoyed making our roving trees this morning from my Waldorf Magic November Guide for our seasonal display. I especially love the story this month. It feels so special and really nourishing to tell to the little one.

After bonfire night things definitely start feeling more festive and geared up for the winter months here at home so we are enjoying the beautiful autumn colour whilst it lasts!

She is just waiting for a bonfire to be added to the scene and we are going to make some fireworks to add for the weekend x

Support local farms this Autumn

Halloween is upon us. So I wanted to come on here with a quick post for anyone grabbing those last minute pumpkins.

If you have a local pick your own farm, please go and purchase from there. They may be a tad more expensive than pumpkins from a local supermarket but that money is going direct to those farmers who work hard cultivating their land year round for a myriad of crops.

I passed a few pumpkins in supermarkets over the weeks …£2 for a giant pumpkin. If a supermarket can sell for £2 we have to wonder what they are paying the farmer for them.

Apart from that, the fun of wondering around a field finding a hidden gem of a pumpkin , seeing where they have grown is priceless!

Happy Halloween to all for tomorrow and enjoy the weekend!

Autumn motor skills

Good morning, happy Sunday!

How are you all today? We are having a slow Sunday here whilst I work, the little one still entertained and challenged by the tray of screws and tacks along with a screwdriver and hammer.

The more tacks she adds, the more the pumpkin moves around irregularly, making it a challenge to hammer steadily, to screw those screws in at the right pressure. But she is mastering and loving it! All in preparation for a real woodwork activity idea I have for the coming months.

This small squash won’t be wasted either we will together in the next day or so, chop it, wash it and place it outside seeds and all for our resident squirrel 🐿 (who absolutely loves them)

Have a great day today all!
