Tomorrow we start exploring sunshine, rain and rainbows using my Waldorf Magic Guide.

This morning with the help of daddy, we made a window sun (swipe to see how it’s made) and some raindrops for the window! I tried to get a good an image as I could of the display we have going on here (it’s hard as the light is behind everything the last image shows from the window outside)

But it’s looking really lovely! We are starting off looking at rain this week as the weather seems quite changeable!

Is anyone else looking forward to the month who had the guide? I’m excited to share what we are up to and also share more about storytelling this week for the month ahead.

I still cannot bear to take down the Easter decorations, I feel I am slowly going to switch things over and put things away for safekeeping. How long do you leave displays out for?

Happy Easter to all! I hope you have had a lovely day if you have been or will be celebrating, I hope (if you don’t observe it as a religious festival) you feel even more the life, growth and bounty of the world around you awakening, the miracle of new life springing from the dark earth!

Our seasonal table has never looked so beautiful! I often try for ‘minimal’ and rustic but can’t ever achieve it! I guess my personality is far from minimal, my own creative endeavours a testament to that!

We picked some beautiful posies from the garden today whilst hiding eggs for a hunt we had this afternoon, which looked beautiful with the lush wheatgrass and fluttering butterflies from @my____fable butterfly garden!

Easter is a beautiful and bountiful celebration of Christs defeat over the cross, just as we started to lose hope over the bare and cold months, as he rises, so too does the world, explode into colour and beauty.

I therefore always see it fitting to really bring that beauty inside at easter. Filling jars with flowers from the garden after an egg hunt is a wonderful way to spend connecting with the beautiful world God created for us, bringing them into the home together on easter morn feels so joyous and celebratory after the solemnity of Holy Week.

Decorations for the children, symbolic with the new life Christ has gievn us, decorated eggs and butterflies, really help bring the miracle of Christianity into a space very young children can share in.

Feasting and food which celebrates the bounty of the world which we have to enjoy and the fruits of Christs love for us is also wonderful to enjoy, this year we have the giant chocolate eggs (check out the recipe in the nourish section_ sitting on top of a simple sponge.

Of course around the home we have other reminders of the Resurrection to thoughtfully placed in light filled windows, this simple stick cross in a basket filled with soil moss and flowers has such reverence and a quietness about it which allows prayerful reflection.
